I just wanted to give you a quick update about the football festival that we are organising with the Hillfield Swifts this summer.
We have met with the team organisers a few times now, which includes Jamie Kinnear, who most of you will know from school.
Jamie is working closely with the family and the other teams in the surrounding areas to make this happen.
This will be a two day event taking place at the Ballast Bank in Inverkeithing (just outside Colin’s home where he grew up from the age of 7). As kids we all played there formally and informally and we have fond memories from our times there.
I don’t want to mention the dates yet just in case something changes, but there will be confirmation of everything really soon.
This is all going to be supported by local businesses, politicians and the local people and we assume that you will support us too.
All of Colin’s friends and family would love for Colin’s name to live on and remember him as a great friend, brother, son and grandson who loved football. This is a big step in making that happen.
If you’d like to find out more about how you can support the Colin Marr Memorial Trust please email me or leave a comment below.
Have a great day!
