On November 2nd 2014 Colin’s dad Allen and his partner Linda completed a trek through the Himalayan region of Nepal to Mount Everest Base Camp.

Allen took along Dunfermline Athletic football shirts which had been presented to Colin Marr Memorial Trust by two young footballers whom the Trust has had the privilege of sponsoring in recent years, former DAFC player Paul Willis and current Pars star Lewis Spence.

Allen and Linda and their Nepalese guides, group leader Ajay Tamang (on the left in two of the photos) and Hemant Tamang, can be seen posing in the Pars tops in the photos above.

Donations to Children’s Charities in Nepal

Nepal is a country of majestic mountains and fabulous scenery but also severe poverty.

Allen and Linda were inspired during their trek to contribute towards the education of the children of the Himalayas and, on behalf of Colin Marr Memorial Trust, they have already made donations to the following children’s charities in Nepal.

Thank you very much Allen for your donation to the Classrooms in the Clouds Recovery Appeal. We are extremely moved that, through your own personal tragedy, you have joined with us to support the Recover Appeal following the devastating earthquake in Nepal on Saturday 25th April 2015.

Thanks Sarah. We will continue to assist financially as much as we can. Best wishes, Allen
